Escape into a fairytale kingdom on this magical 10 hours day tour

Travelling from Salzburg, passing breathtaking alpine scenery, your private royal castle tour takes you to the residences of King Ludwig II. – Neuschwanstein.

Visit Neuschwanstein the famous fairytale castle built by the legendary King Ludwig after his ascension to the throne. This dream palace in Gothic Revival style has a most dramatic setting on top of a rocky ridge surrounded by the majestic Alps and pristine Bavarian Forests inspiring Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Due to its stunning location and unusual architecture it is considered as one of the most picturesque castles in the World attracting more than a million visitors a year.

From the parking lot you either walk about 15 min up to the castle or take the horse carriage (please note: price not included, long waiting time during high season). Touring the castle lasts about 40 minutes.

You have the possibility to visit the neo gothic palace of Hohenschwangau instead of Neuschwanstein. It is the former summer and hunting residence of the royal Bavarian family, admiring the starry sky ceiling and murals in the oriental room furnished by Ludwig II’s father Maximilian II with exotic travel souvenirs.

If time permits there may be a stop at the Wieskirche on our return trip, a beautiful pilgrimage church and UNESCO Heritage site.
